Bold, romantic and completely editorial. Rebecca and Paul’s wedding at Como Treasury in the Perth CBD was the kind of day that stops you in your tracks.

The flat lay tells you everything: a cascading trailing bouquet of white phalaenopsis orchids, white garden roses and gypsophila with long black velvet ribbon, pearl-strap heels, gold rings and an illustrated venue invitation suite. Every detail was considered before the day even began.

The ceremony took place in Long Chim’s stunning walled courtyard. White washed brick draped with bougainvillea, a led-lit arch framing the couple as they exchanged vows, and a tall black velvet bow anchoring the space against the ivy-covered wall. A mirrored plinth held a lush white floral arrangement of white orchids, stock, roses and gypsophila, and a black panel behind the arch carried a Finnish love quote in white script. Personal, unexpected and completely unforgettable. The bridesmaids in full black carried matching white rose and gypsophila bouquets tied with long black velvet ribbon, the whole bridal party a striking study in monochrome.

Inside the reception room at The Mark, the transformation was breathtaking. Full ceiling draping in soft white fabric turned the heritage space into something otherworldly. The columns were wrapped floor to ceiling in lush arrangements of white garden roses, phalaenopsis orchids and gypsophila, each tied at the waist with an oversized sculptural white bow and finished with “The Shewchuks” printed down the trailing sash in bold typography. Bare branching stems wove through the florals for texture and height.

Long banquet tables on white linen were set with single white stem roses in clear glass cylinder vases, small espresso martini cocktails as place detail, matte black cutlery and bow-motif black and white stationery at every setting. Ghost chairs ran the length of the tables, keeping the look airy and light against all that white. The three-tier white wedding cake with white ruffle detail and trailing black ribbon bows was one of the most on-trend moments of the whole day, sitting beside tall white delphinium stems, it was a perfect finish to a perfectly curated vision.
