Bold Bows, Custom Details & Candlelight Magic: Rebecca & Paul’s Dream Day
Small in size but massive in style, Rebecca & Paul’s micro wedding was an intimate celebration with under 50 guests that delivered serious main character energy from beginning to end. Set within the iconic State Buildings in Perth, every detail was deeply personal, wildly beautiful, and oh-so-refined.
From the moment guests received their invitations, featuring a custom illustration of the State Building, you just knew this wasn’t your average wedding.

Ceremony vibes: heritage meets modern romance
Held in the atmospheric courtyard of Long Chim, their ceremony was equal parts chic and sentimental. Picture mirrored plinths, luxe garden blooms, a statement black bow, and custom signage written in Finnish as a nod to family heritage.
After saying “I do,” guests sipped pre-dinner cocktails while being live-sketched by Cassa Illustrations (yes, that happened 👏) and enjoyed soft acoustic tunes that set the mood just right.

Reception glow-up at The Mark
As golden hour faded, guests were ushered upstairs to The Mark, where a warm candlelit glow greeted them. Think:
- Elegant ceiling draping
- Single stem roses + a dreamy floral install
- Custom bow-shaped place cards
Oh, and the cake? A showstopper. Sieve & Stone nailed the brief with a sleek white design tied in black ribbon to match the overall aesthetic. Sitting nearby, a glass horse and carriage heirloom brought in a heartfelt family touch, one of many beautiful nods to legacy and love.

Personal touches that made it unforgettable
Guests found their seats via linen-draped signage, surrounded by candles and pearl-detailed ribbons, creating a luxe, romantic atmosphere. The night was filled with laughter, happy tears, and nostalgia, with two montage videos sharing the couple’s love story and a moving tribute to Rebecca’s late grandfather. 💛
Even the wishing well was handcrafted by him, and guests captured the joy of the night on vintage Polaroids, a perfect blend of old soul meets new era.

Why we loved it!
This wedding was the definition of thoughtful styling with heart. It had all the visual wow moments (seriously, that bow!) but still felt like Rebecca & Paul through and through. Proof that small weddings don’t mean small impact, just more room for unforgettable details.
